Travel Dates

Here is a list of specific travel dates for current Island Center Programs. You’ll find this useful when booking your flights to and from Athens, Greece:

June 1 -14 2019

Embrace the Journey, Travel Through Time: Mixed Media Artist Books with Melanie Matthews

This program begins in Athens on the evening of  June 1 2019. If you are flying from the USA, you will need to book your departure for  May 31. Flights to Europe from the US are usually overnight flights, arriving in Europe the following day.

The Program ends in Athens on the morning of  June 14 2019. If you plan to return directly to the USA,  you should book your return flight for June 14 . Most flights to the USA leave Athens in the morning and arrive in the US the same day.

1 – 14  September  2019

Capture Greece In Living Color With Kat O’Connor

This program begins in Athens on the evening of  September 1 2019. If you are flying from the USA, you will need to book your departure for August 31. Flights to Europe from the US are usually overnight flights, arriving in Europe the following day.

The Program ends in Athens on the morning of  September 14 2019. If you plan to return directly to the USA,  you should book your return flight for  Septmember 14 . Most flights to the USA leave Athens in the morning and arrive in the US the same day.

ALL TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS IN GREECE WITHIN THE PROGRAM DATES ARE ORGANIZED BY THE ISLAND CENTER AND ARE INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM FEE.

Any participant who chooses to deviate from this schedule in terms of travel and accommodations must take responsibility for their own arrangements and additional costs. 

Airfare

Airfare is not included in the price of tuition. Students must arrange their own air travel to and from Athens, Greece. The Island Center for the Arts will be happy to advise students about travel details and inform participants of special travel deals. Ground and sea travel during the Program is organized by the Island Center and included in the price of tuition.

Insurance

Students who wish to obtain Travel Insurance must do so individually.  The Island Center for the Arts cannot be liable for delays and unforeseen travel circumstances.  Travelex, Travelguard and Travel Insured International are three highly recommended travel insurance specialists. More information about their policy options is available on their websites.
